Not at all. Coaches and leagues control how and when athletes access the app. Most teams only use Slope Stewards™ before or after training for schedules and updates, and on race days for live timing—just like they already do. The app is meant to simplify communication, not encourage phone use on the hill.

No. Each league or team can choose which features they want to enable. Messaging, start orders, volunteer roles, safety tools, and sponsor visibility can all be turned on or off based on your program's needs and policies.

We do. Once a league or program says “yes,” we build your customized environment, add your teams, connect your calendar structure, and set up your sponsor visibility. You simply share the registration link with your community—fundraising begins immediately.

Your league or team will share a registration link. Once registered, users choose their league, team, and role (athlete, parent, volunteer, coach). This instantly connects them to the right schedules, updates, and features.

Registration provides access for the entire season to all selected league/team features, safety tools, messaging, live-timing links, schedules, updates, and mountain culture content. It also supports ongoing development of the platform and contributes to your league’s fundraising split.

Each athlete/parent/volunteer registers for a small fee (starting at $7.99). You choose a 50/50 or 60/40 split. Funds are sent to the league monthly. Leagues decide how to use their portion: safety netting, race crew equipment, scholarships, lowered fees, timing gear, or contributing support to ski areas.

Yes. Slope Stewards™ helps race departments manage smoother race and training days by improving athlete flow, communication, and safety awareness. Leagues can also choose to allocate a portion of their fundraising split toward mountain safety upgrades like netting or fencing.

Yes. Coaches and leagues control who can join, what features are enabled, and what information is shared. Messaging can be restricted to coach-to-athlete or team-wide only. No public access, no open groups, no random users.

Slope Stewards™ works on any smartphone or tablet and also has a browser version for desktops/laptops—so parents can access schedules and updates from any device.

Perfect—Slope Stewards™ is built for exactly that. Each school or team still maintains its identity, but all communication, schedules, start orders, and race-day logistics unify under the league to reduce confusion.

Yes. Coaches have a higher permission level to update schedules, add announcements, post start orders, coordinate volunteers, and manage communication. Roles can be customized for each league or team.

Slope Stewards™ is adopted at the league level, so it supports everyone — regardless of individual team participation. If a coach or team prefers not to use the app features, they will still receive email updates, safety reminders, schedules, Live-Timing links, and league communication.

Families can use Slope Stewards™ at the level they choose.
Teams who opt out are still included and continue to benefit from league-wide communication and culture support.

This ensures the league maintains consistent safety messaging and clear communication for everyone.

No.
Individual teams can choose how much they use the app, but they cannot block league-wide participation. Leagues control communication structure, safety tools, and fundraising programs — not individual teams.

Every team still receives updates through email, and most teams who initially say “no” often join later when they see how helpful and simple the system is.

Not at all.
Families choose their level of participation. Even if they never use the app, they’ll still receive league info via email so no one is left out.

Slope Stewards™ is designed to be inclusive, optional at the individual level, and helpful for everyone.

Slope Stewards™ can be accessed in a browser on any computer. Coaches may also choose to send key updates via email from within the app’s communication tools.

To keep athlete rosters, parent lists, and volunteer assignments accurate, each person should have their own login. Parents often volunteer for different races, while athletes receive athlete-only messaging. Separate logins make communication clear, safe, and organized for everyone.

Just a “yes.” We build your system, create your league environment, and provide your registration link. You simply share it with your teams—fundraising starts instantly.

How the Fundraiser Works

Why This Approach Works Beautifully

Why This Approach Works Beautifully

1. The league/club joins the Slope Stewards™ Partnership.

Your league/club receives a full-season license ($1,500) that includes unlimited athletes, parents, teams, coaches, and volunteers. We set up everything for you — no extra work needed.


2. The league/club adds a small fundraiser.

Most leagues/clubs simply add $10 per athlete to their standard league fee. At 150 athletes, the league raises $1,500, which fully covers the app and keeps league fees around the $100–$120 target.


3. Slope Stewards™ processes payments and provides reporting.

All payments are handled through Square, and we offer simple reporting for league treasurers and boards.


4. The league/club receive fundraiser portion to pay back cost of app for themselves as a win/win for all.


Your league keeps the full fundraiser amount. Most leagues raise $1,500–$3,000, depending on the number of athletes and parents.


5. Slope Stewards™ is featured on side chest of bib and/or on website as a partner/sponsor.

Your league gains access to all the extras on Slope Stewards™ app that benefits everyone on the hill keeping us safe, aware and connected in real-time.

Slope Stewards™ is her way of helping leagues, teams, and families stay organized, connected, and safe so everyone can focus on skiing, learning, and enjoying the mountain.
